John E. Miller

 

John E. Miller, age 75, of Mount Calvary, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at St. Agnes Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born May 27, 1945, to the late Dr. Joseph and E. Viola (Dame) Miller.

John graduated from St. Mary’s Springs High School in 1963. He received his degree in sales and marketing from Spencerian College in 1965. John served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968 as a surgical technician.

On June 21, 1985, he married Paula Kruis at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. Paula preceded him in death on July 8, 2019.

Survivors include his three children, Jenny (Jay) Dalzin of Port Washington, Jackie Miller of Belle Plaine, Minn., and John “Jay” Miller and his significant other Kim of Grafton; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters Joe (Shirley) Miller, Marilyn (Ken) Kohlman, Delbert Miller (significant other Nancy), Jim Miller (significant other Bernie), Matt (Toni) Miller, Mark (Ann) Miller, Mike (Alice) Miller, Kate (Tom) Thresher, George (Mary) Miller, Chris Danor and Alice (John) Steffen; and his brothers-in-law Carter (Katie) Kruis and Todd (Cindy) Kruis. John is further survived by many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Joseph and E. Viola Miller; his wife Paula; his sister-in-law Kathy Miller; his brother-in-law Steve Danor; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Jacob and Caroline Kruis.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Sippel Funeral Home, 1311 Thorp St., St. Cloud, WI 53079.

Family and friends may visit with John’s family at the funeral home Saturday morning, May 1, from 10 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.

John’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the St. Agnes Hospital staff with special thanks to nurse Chris. They also would like to thank Joe for checking in on Dad and being a very good friend to him.
