John C. Rieck

John C. Rieck of Grafton, Wis., was born on May 4, 1948. He passed away on Oct. 23, 2026, from Lewy body dementia at the age of 78 years. 

John is survived by several brothers and sisters, Paul (Linda), Ray (Kristen), Jim (Debbie), Irene, Shirley, Linda, Larry (Jane), Joanne (Hal) Landing, Robert (Jean) and Richard (Kelly). He has three daughters, Tammy, Heidi and Amy. He is further survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  

John was preceded in death by his parents Marilyn and Heinz and brothers Edward and Thomas.

Sgt. 5 Class John Rieck served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970. While serving, he did a tour in Vietnam, earning several medals, including the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Army Commendation and more. John was a very proud veteran and avid motorcyclist who loved his Harleys.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, at Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, 979 N. Green Bay Rd., Grafton, at 2 p.m. Interment with military honors will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery, Grafton. A visitation will take place on Friday at the funeral home from noon until the service.
