Jody Joette Lipert Schilling

My beloved wife, mother and friend, Jody Joette Lipert Schilling, passed away on Oct. 17, 2025, at the age of 68 under hospice care in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was born in Milwaukee, Wis., on May 8, 1957.
To her husband Gary, she was not just a partner but a true companion — loyal, kind and funny. How she loved to laugh; she had the most infectious laugh that no one could forget once they heard it.
Jody had a variety of jobs. She worked as an art director at a gallery in Sequin, Texas, managed women’s clothing stores, was a senior accounting clerk at Southland Corp., worked for the FWISD and as a church secretary.
Her favorite roles were that of mother to her son Jordan, companion to her husband Gary and friend to the many people in her life.
Jody was preceded in death by her father Gerald Liepert.
She is survived by her mother Judith Liepert of Weatherford Texas, husband Gary and son Jordan of Fort Worth, Texas. She is also survived by her sister Jamie Langston, brother-in-law Gary Langston and nephews Chris and Jack Langston of Washington, D.C., as well as many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces in Wisconsin. She is also survived by many cousins in Wisconsin and Tennessee.
A memorial service for Jody was held at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 5709 Wedgewood Dr., Forth Worth, TX 76133, at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2025. A lunch followed in the fellowship hall after the service.
Scattering of ashes will be on her birthday, May 8, 2026, in Wisconsin.
