Jerry John Murray

Jerry John Murray peacefully passed away and was born into eternal life on March 22, 2024, at the age of 80.
He was born on June 19, 1943, in Menomonie, Wis.
Jerry graduated from Menomonie High School before entering the training program at Sacred Heart Hospital for radiology technology, where he earned an associate degree.
While at Sacred Heart Hospital, Jerry met the love of his life, Mary Susan Lieffring, and they married in 1964. Together they raised five children in Grafton, Wis.
Jerry worked as the manager of the radiology department at Columbia Hospital.
Jerry enjoyed his family of five children and six grandchildren. Jerry’s family was his joy in life and proudest accomplishment. He enjoyed spending time with all of them, especially during moments of travel, celebration and holidays.
He enjoyed hunting, golfing, traveling and camping. He loved watching professional and collegiate sports, especially the golfing greats, Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers.
Always eager to make others laugh, he enjoyed sharing jokes, funny anecdotes and stories. Jerry loved to unwind in front of his beautiful fireplace at home and talk about the good ol’ days with family and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents John and Alice (Calhoun) and brother Ben.
He is survived by his wife Mary Susan (Lieffring); children Thomas (Ilana), Michael (Jan), James (Tracy), Patricia (Danny) Fatla and Daniel (Meghan); and grandchildren Caitlynn (Fletcher) Arlen, Sean, Jordan, Kelsey, Barrett and Lincoln.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1619 Washington St., Grafton. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., with hospitality to follow Mass at the church.
