Jeanette Rodriguez

Jeanette Rodriguez, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026, at The Aspen at Cedar Lake in West Bend. She was 92 years old.
Born on Sept. 27, 1933, in Hartford, she was the beloved daughter of Charles and Clara (nee Linstedt) Oldenburg.
She grew up in Hartford and graduated from Hartford High School with the Class of 1951, forming friendships that reflected her lifelong gift for connecting with others.
On June 23, 1952, she married the love of her life, Pablo Rodriguez. Their story began when Jeanette was just 18 years old, waitressing at a soda fountain where Pablo first caught her eye. From that chance meeting grew a devoted marriage filled with adventure, laughter and companionship.
Jeanette had a deep love for life’s simple pleasures. Card games, especially sheepshead, were a favorite pastime, and she cherished quiet moments playing solitaire with her son. She was a natural crafter, always creating with her hands, and she found great joy in traveling. Together, Jeanette and Pablo embraced the open road, purchasing an RV and spending summers in Anchorage, Alaska, and winters in Pablo’s hometown in Texas, building memories across miles and seasons.
Above all, she was very sociable and genuinely enjoyed being around people. Whether with family, friends or someone she had just met, Jeanette had a way of making others feel welcome and at ease. Her warmth, laughter and love of conversation will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her life was rich in love, shared experiences and meaningful connections — gifts she leaves behind as part of her enduring legacy.
Jeanette is survived by her three sons, Pablo (Mary) Jr., Richard (Deborah) and Rudolph (Carol) Rodriguez. She is further survived by her son-in-law Robert Sargent, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, her brother Alvin (Dolores) Oldenburg, her sister June (the late Marvin) Ketelhut, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Clara, her husband Pablo, daughter Patsy Sargent, granddaughter Liza Rodriguez and her brother Charles Oldenburg Jr.
