Jayne Jaffke

Jayne Jaffke of Grafton, Wis., was called home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, Jan. 24, 2020. Surrounded by her family, she passed away peacefully at the age of 83 years.
Jayne was born in Stockbridge, Wis., on March 17, 1936, to the late Thelma (Haag) Holzer and George Holzer.
She spent the majority of her life in Grafton caring for her family while enjoying the outdoors, any animal and gardening. One of her favorite activities was planning and hosting gatherings of family and friends, cooking and baking everyone’s favorite dishes. She will be remembered for her uncanny ability to connect and understand everyone she met. Her caring and open heart will be missed.
Jayne is survived by her beloved husband Dale of which they shared 65 wonderful years together; children Thomas Jaffke of Fredonia, Dave (Patty) Jaffke of Grafton, Bob Jaffke of Mauston, John (Darlene) Jaffke of San Diego and Mary (Jaffke) Cochrane of Hartford; grandchildren Paul (Buffy) Jaffke of Grafton, Emily Jaffke (Tim Otto) of West Bend, Kaitlyn Jaffke of Los Angeles, Brad (Brittany) Jaffke of Seattle, Kelly (Joe) Zuckerman of Washington, D.C., Erin Jaffke of Boston, Nicole Jaffke of San Diego, Josh Umhoefer of Grafton, Miranda Umhoefer of St. Cloud, Minn., Val Boehm of Malone, Jason Hartmann of Milwaukee, Amara Hartmann of Beaver Dam and Shayenne Jaffke of Fond du Lac; great-grandchildren Raeden, Chris, Skyler, Jaiden, Elijiah and Rhett; and sisters and brothers-in-law Eleanor Gerhartz of New Holstein, Harvey Holzer of Grafton, Willard Hemauer of Chilton and Jean Holzer of Chilton.
She is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Thelma (Haag) Holzer, father George Holzer; sisters and brothers-in-law Mary Hemauer, Donald Holzer, Joan and Chuck Hemauer and Chuck Gerhartz.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1619 Washington St., Grafton, WI.
Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. with the service at 1 p.m.

A private interment will be held on Friday, Jan. 31, 2020, at 9:30 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery and Mausoleum, 9400 W. Donges Bay Rd., Mequon, WI.
