Janet Mueller

Mrs. Janet Mueller of Pound, formerly of Port Washington, passed away at her daughter’s house on Friday, June 2, 2023. She was 85 years old.

  Jan was born in Saukville on Jan. 24, 1938, the daughter of Walter and Hazel Race Luedtke.

She attended local schools and graduated from Port Washington High School.

  On Oct. 11, 1958, Jan was united in marriage with James Mueller at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Saukville.  The couple lived on Chestnut Street in Port Washington.

Mrs. Mueller worked as a title researcher for Ozaukee Title Co. for a number of years.

Jim and Jan moved to Pound in 1999 to enjoy their retirement.

He preceded her in death in 2020.

  Mrs. Mueller was a leader with local Girl Scout groups for many years.

She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, traveling and trips to the casino with her friends.

Jan held a special place in her heart for her kitty-cat friends.

  Those left to cherish her memory include her three daughters, Sandi Mueller of Port Washington, Cathy (Anthony) Molitor of Sheboygan and Joyce Mueller, also of Port Washington, and three grandchildren, Andrea (Ryan) Ehrlich, Justin Molitor and Emmalee Mueller.

She is further survived by seven great-grandchildren, siblings Shirley “Toots” (the late Paul) Thelen, Doris (the late John) Seyfert, Norman (Ellen) Luedtke and Nancy (John) Liebherr,  nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, 505 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington. Chaplain Colson Leach will preside.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Union Cemetery, Port Washington.

The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m.

Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
