Jaguars sign Benzschawel

It didn’t take Beau Benzschawel long to find a new NFL team after being released last month.

The Washington Commanders let Benzschawel go on July 30. On Aug. 3, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed him, according to nfl.com.

Benzschawel, listed at 6 feet 6 inches tall and 300 pounds, was on the practice squads of the Detroit Lions and Houston Texans before being signed by the Commanders.

Benzschawel is a 2014 graduate of Grafton High School. He played guard at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned All-American honors opening holes for star running back Jonathan Taylor.
