Intelligence officer is March 20 speaker

A former intelligence officer will address the global war on terrorism during the Monday, March 20, meeting of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Military Historians in Grafton.

The meeting will be at the Rose-Harms American Legion Hall, 1540 13th Ave.

Former Army intelligence officer Samuel Rogers, who served three tours of duty in Afghanistan as an interrogation specialist beginning in 2008, will be the speaker.

Rogers, who lives in Waukesha, interviewed and interrogated members of the Taliban and ISIS who were prisoners of war.

Rogers is the founder of the Wisconsin Veteran Business Alliance, a project of Concerned Veterans for America. He has been with CVA since 2019 and previously led grassroots operations in Wisconsin to reform higher education, end the war in Afghanistan, care for Afghan refugees and hold the Veterans Administration accountable for issues with veterans health care.

Admission is $25, which includes a buffet dinner and the presentation.  A limited number of $10 seats are available for the speaker’s program only.

Doors to the hall open at 5:30 p.m., with activities beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Reservations are required and may be made by contacting Ken Grigas at (262) 284-1090 or emailing rsvp@mkemh.org.
