Ina Saunders

Ina R. Saunders, 64, died of complications of lung cancer at Belgium Gardens assisted living facility Thursday, Nov. 22.
“She very much loved spending time with her family, and she will be dearly missed,” her daughter Rachel Lanser said.
Ms. Saunders was born in Port Washington to Gerald and Naomi Riemert Paulson on Feb. 4, 1954.
She grew up in Port Washington and when she turned 18 moved to Texas to work as a nanny and pursue nursing school. In 1992, she returned to Port Washington.
Her family said she was a great cook whose poppy seed torte was a family favorite. She enjoyed crocheting and reading the Bible, and her outgoing personality allowed her make friends quickly.
Ms. Saunders is survived by her children Cory Saunders of Saukville, Rachel (Ryan) Lanser of Port Washington and Nicholas (Roxanne) Paulson of De Forest; grandchildren Brittany (Sean Arendt) Saunders, Brent Saunders, Mason Lanser, Madison Lanser and Remington Paulson; and one great-granddaughter.
She is further survived by brothers Robert (Dawn) Paulson of Port Washington, Timothy Paulson of Saukville and Jerry (Paula) Paulson of Howard; and sisters Susan (Richard) Molitor of Port Washington, Anita (Brian) Franzke of Saukville and Kay Paulson of Port Washington.
Mrs. Saunders was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Roger and Ronald Paulson.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the service.
