Human trafficking to be discussed in program at church

An expert on human trafficking and victims of crime will be the featured speaker at a free informational meeting on human trafficking in Wisconsin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Parkside UCC church in Saukville.

Morgan Young is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School and a victim services training officer in the Office of Crime/Victim Services at the state Department of Justice. 

She is the former chairman of the Wisconsin Statewide Anti-Trafficking Consortium, has been working in the field of victim services for more than a decade and also specializes in the areas of immigration, family violence and sexual assault.

Young also teaches a class on domestic violence at the law school.

Young will provide an overview of what trafficking looks like in Wisconsin and how vulnerable individuals are recruited and the role drug use plays. Signs of trafficking and how to report it also will be highlighted.
