Honoring those who lit up the holidays

Lake Financial held its fifth annual Port Washington holiday lights contest last month, with 30 houses entered into the competition. The company put out a map of the competitors, and those viewing the light shows could vote for their favorites. More than 300 votes were cast, and the company honored the winners last week. They included (from left) Dennis and Eileen Schaeffer, whose Evergreen Terrace house was dubbed “The Clark Griswold,” Lake Financial managing partner Brian Barber and Tom Hudson, who with his wife Elizabeth O’Connell (not pictured) won the People’s Choice award for their Grand Avenue home.
