Hard at work observing Earth Day

Celebrating Earth Day by pitching in at Riveredge Nature Center in the Town of Saukville were Logan Golner, Stephanie Witte, Cindy Heath, Molly Wolf and Danielle Golner, who replaced information in kiosks along trails. They were among the dozens of volunteers who participated in the nature center’s Earth Day Service Fest on Saturday, April 21 — the eve of the national day dedicated to the environment and founded in 1970 by Gaylord Nelson, a U.S. senator from Wisconsin. So many volunteers signed up for Saturday’s event that Riveredge had to cut off registrations.   Photo by Sam Arendt
