Guy Owen Theune

Guy Owen Theune, age 72, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, after a courageous two-year struggle with cancer.
He was born on June 12, 1952, to Willis (Sooly) Cornelius Theune and Neva Marie (Lammers) Theune in Sheboygan, Wis.
Guy graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a business degree and relied strongly on this accounting education to cement his lifelong endeavors. His love for numbers drove him to be a successful entrepreneur/executive, and he took great pride in his accomplishments. He worked for Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and other accounting firms, owned Car Parts Inc. and was CFO and a shareholder of Cannella Media LLC and its various entities.
After “retiring” in 2012, Guy pursued a lifelong interest — real estate developer, completing the buildout at Mariners Pointe Condominiums in Sister Bay, Wis. His keen eye for numbers and detail was certainly evident throughout his life. True point — he always “dressed for success,” both professionally and casually, even as a sportsman. Guy finally retired for good in the early 2020s.
Guy had a passion for hunting (pheasant and duck) and fishing. He shared much happiness as he taught and supported these sports to his two grandsons. His office decor is a reminder of all these interests. As his father was a tank commander in World War II, Guy was always intrigued with all matters relating to WWII — books, movies, memorabilia, tours, etc.
Guy married Judith (Croatt) in 1977. They were blessed with three wonderful children, Kurt (Kim) Theune, Rachel (Joshua) Beam and Eric Theune, and five awesome grandchildren, Will, Maya and Peter Theune and Coraline and Paige Beam. Though Guy was a quiet man, he took great pleasure watching these grandkids grow.
Guy is further survived by his sister Mary (Hugh) Miller of California and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Guy was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two brothers-in-law (Dave Pfeiffer and Jeff Croatt), many aunts, uncles and cousins and his loving golden retriever Sammie.
A celebration of Guy’s life will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at noon at Fox Point Lutheran Church, 7510 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Fox Point, Wis. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
