Graftonics shines in a cappella contest

Grafton High School has one of the best a cappella vocal groups in Wisconsin. Graftonics, a 17-member ensemble, earned third-place honors in the Midwest semifinals of the Varsity Vocal International Championship for high schools at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee on Saturday, March 23. Group members, shown above performing and at right with their award, include Cassie Sohr, Lily Bauer, Angelina Greefkes, Neala Luedtke, Kailey Lueck, McKenna Craun, Katelyn Shanks, Morgan Ruska, Ashley Fryjoff, Hailey Douglas, Sadie Monreal, Cannon Nash, Dominic Danner, Eli Feutz, Nick Wilson, Michael Seybold and Jeff Brown. Although Port Washington won Saturday’s contest, and Oak Creek placed second, Graftonics still has a chance to advance to the national finals through a wild-card selection process that will be held in the near future.
