Grafton runners place well in Owl Invite at Slinger

Grafton’s Zander Lichosik won the Owl Invite in Slinger, finishing the 5,000-meter course in 16 minutes, 44 seconds last Thursday.

The Black Hawks’ cross country team took third place with 79 points. Slinger won with 26.

Nathan Baker was 11th in 17:41. Cael Abad was 17th in 18:13. Sam Peters was 19th in 18:17. Jake Kempka was 32nd in 18:51.

The girls took second with 59 points. Slinger won with 55.

Julia Wille was sixth in 20:40. Maddy Wille was ninth in 21:06. Anna Eifert was 11th in 21:13. Morgan Ruona was 16th in 21:26. Natalie Cherella was 17th in 21:29.
