Grafton Rec Dept. offers swimming, yoga, badminton

The Grafton Parks and Recreation Department has several programs to keep busy this winter.

Adult lap swimming at the Grafton High School pool, 1950 Washington Ave., is available from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through Feb. 24. No swim will be held Nov. 25, Dec. 23, 28, 30, and Jan. 18 and 25.

Open swim is available from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturdays through May 22. No swim will be held on Nov. 28, Dec. 26, Jan. 2 and April 3.

Daily fees are $2 for resident youth and $3 for adults and seniors. Non-resident youth fees are $3 and adults and seniors are $4. Children younger than 2 get in free with a paid adult.

Adult badminton is offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays through Dec. 18 at the Kennedy Elementary School gym, 1629 11th Ave. Players are asked to enter door No. 6. There will be no play on Nov. 27.

A 10-visit punch card is available for $30, or pay $4 per visit. Punch cards are available on site or at the parks and recreation department office, 675 Green Bay Rd.

Gentle flow yoga will be offered from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturdays, Dec. 5 through March 6, at the lower level of the Grafton Multipurpose Center, 1665 Seventh. Ave. People are asked to bring a yoga mat. Classes won’t be held Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.

The cost is $46 for village residents and $54 for non-residents. Register at www.graftonrecreation.village.grafton.wi.us.
