Grafton Legion gears up for Operation Old Glory

Rose-Harms American Legion Auxiliary members (from left) Karen Brost, Janet Sladky and Amy Luft were preparing last week to launch Operation Old Glory, an effort by the Grafton American Legion Family to have an American flag displayed outside every home in Grafton on the Fourth of July in honor of America’s 250th birthday. To accomplish that mission, the Legion, in partnership with Blain’s Farm and Fleet, will distribute free flag kits to residents from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 14, and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at the Legion Hall, 1540 13th Ave. After the first 250 free kits are distributed, they will be available at a discount to those who mention Operation Old Glory at the Grafton Blain’s Farm and Fleet store.
