Graduating from the Naval Academy

The whole family was on hand as former Port Washington resident Peter Hinsa graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. A member of the 24th Company, Hinsa received a degree in cyber operations and operations research and, as part of the ceremony, was commissioned as an ensign. Hinsa, who is the son of Frank and Michelle Hinca of Northbrook, Ill., posed with his mother, grandmother Geri Zehren of Port Washington and uncle Mike Ryer of the Town of Fredonia after the ceremony. He is also the grandson of Anne Hinca of Waukesha. Hinsa will now serve two years as a surface warfare officer aboard the USS Bonhomme and the rest of his service stateside in cryptological warfare/cyber security.
