Girl Scouts begin annual cookie sale
Area Girl Scouts are taking orders for Girl Scout cookies, selling them door-to-door, online and will also sell them at booths through March 22.
This year, Scouts will be offering the classic cookie flavors, among them Samoas, Do-Si-Dos, Trefoils, Adventurefuls, Tag Alongs, Lemon Up, Toffee-Tastic and, of course, the favorite Thin Mints.
Exploremores, a rocky road ice cream-inspired sandwich cookie, joins the cookie lineup this year. Filled with the flavors of chocolate, marshmallow and toasted almond-flavored crème, Exploremores are intended to reflect the spirit of exploration at the heart of every Girl Scout.
They will also sell cookies through the Digital Cookie platform that allows customers to order and pay for them online and be either delivered by a Scout or shipped directly to them,
Proceeds from the cookie sales stay local. Troops and girls use them for community projects, badge activities or trips that build girls of courage, confidence and character.
