Ghouls, goblins to take to Port streets Saturday

Watch out for ghouls, goblins, witches and the like this weekend as Port Washington hosts its annual trick or treat.

Costumed children will roam the city seeking treats from residents from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30.

Homeowners who will give out candy to youngsters are asked to have their front porch lights on.

This is the first year that city officials haven’t debated when to hold trick or treat, despite the fact that Halloween falls on the weekend.

Aldermen agreed two years ago to hold the event from 4 to 7 p.m. on the Saturday closest to the holiday.
