Geraldine “Geri” M. Steffen

Geraldine “Geri” M. Steffen, 93, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Prairie Place Assisted Living in Ripon, Wis.

Geri is survived by four children — son Kim (wife Joan) of Fredonia, daughter Lyn (husband Randy Meinke) of Princeton, son Todd (special friend Jeanne Stangel) of Green Bay and daughter Mary (husband Mike Drefs) of Goodyear, Ariz.

She was the proud and loving grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 17.

Geri was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Steffen on Dec. 7, 2018, while residing in De Pere, Wisconsin.

Born on Nov. 7, 1927, to John and Ruth Lamb, Geri grew up on the family farm in Dacada, Wis.

She married Ken Steffen of Fredonia, Wis., on May 20, 1950, and spent the majority of her life as a loving mother and supportive wife for the Steffen family plumbing business in Fredonia.

Family and friends will always remember Geri as a gracious and caring Christian mother, a huge Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan, a 70-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Fredonia and for always making herself available when help was needed.

A private Christian burial service is being planned.

Arrangements are being coordinated by Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home of Ripon, Wis.

The Steffen family would like to thank the staff at Prairie Place Assisted Living in Ripon and Agnesian HealthCare Hospice Hope’s – Green Lake and Fond du Lac for their kind and gracious care.
