George B. Lucas

George B. Lucas, age 93, of Port Washington, passed away on Dec. 3, 2022.

He was born Oct. 4, 1929, in Port Washington to George A. and Norma Boeckman Lucas.

He attended Maple Grove School in the Town of Port Washington and Port Washington High School.

He worked on the family farm and bakery.

He married Carol E. Thome on Oct. 7, 1950, in Crivitz. They were blessed with three children.

George was a hard worker. He worked for A.W. Boettcher and Son of Grafton hauling milk in the morning, then worked second shift at Simplicity. He also ran a small crop farm.

George enjoyed his time off, traveling to his cottage in Crivitz, snowmobiling and going on pontoon rides on High Falls Flowage.

Spending time with family was important.

He is survived by his children Debbie (Paul) Uhlig and Jeff (Jackie) Lucas, both of Port Washington.

He is further survived by eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, his sister Kris (Thomas) Lemke of Sobieski, Wis., other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carol, daughter Sharon Lucas, siblings James, Richard and Kenneth Lucas, Dolly Dimmer and Marilyn Howard.

Family services have been held with interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington
