Frebeka 5 run set for June 24

Deadline for early registration is June 23

Registration is open for the Frebeka 5 Run/Walk Family Health Challenge on Saturday, June 24.
The race will again be held in Waubedonia Park in Fredonia.
Events include a one-mile kids’ fun run and one or two-mile walk, a two-mile run  on flat trails in the park and a five-mile run.
All runs are chip timed.
Early entry is $20 per adult and $10 per child. Race day entry is $25 per adult and $15 per child. Registration ends on June 23.
Race start times are:
n 8 a.m., five-mile run
n 8 a.m., one or two-mile walk with     your pet
n 9 a.m., kids’ fun run
n 9:30 a.m., two-mile run
The races start at the park shelter.
Results are divided by age with categories of 13 and younger, 14 to 18, 19 to 29 and then by decade.
The Frebeka 5 was started by the Fredonia Lions in 1990 as a fundraising project for community organizations.

The Fredonia Lions are organizing the race. Proceeds are being split among Starting Point of Ozaukee, the T-Baum Foundation, Blind Outdoor Leisure Development (BOLD) and Lion health projects including vision, hearing and diabetes.
