Firefighters being sought

Belgium, Fredonia and Waubeka fire departments are seeking new members and holding a recruitment night on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

People may try out equipment such as hoses, Jaws of Life and axes.

The departments are looking for firefighters, emergency medical responders and technicians, reserve volunteers and explorers.

The event will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fredonia Fire Department, 201 S. Milwaukee St.
