Families invited to join 1,000 Books reading program

The Oscar Grady Memorial Library in Saukville is reminding residents that its popular 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten remains in full swing for youngsters.

This ongoing early literacy program encourages families and caregivers to read 1,000 books aloud with their young children before they enter kindergarten.

Any child from birth until kindergarten is eligible to register.

Reading together helps children develop important pre-reading skills that provide a solid reading foundation – a key to scholastic and learning success.

For more information, call the library at 284-6022 or visit www.oscargradylibrary.org.
