Evelyn M. Rinn

Evelyn M. Rinn (nee Harns) of Port Washington passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021. She was 88 years old. 

Evelyn was born the daughter of James and Beatrice Harns on Sept. 9, 1933, in the Town of Trenton. She was united in marriage to Charles Rinn at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington on Jan. 8, 1955.

Evelyn’s first employment was as a telephone operator. She retired from Power Products/Tecumseh after 10 years of dedicated service. Later she worked at Walmart in Saukville as a cashier, where she made many friends and thoroughly enjoyed her time there. 

Evelyn and her husband traveled extensively after his retirement, always with their golf clubs. They enjoyed their daily breakfasts at the River Edge Restaurant in Saukville, a tradition she continued after his passing. She will be missed by those who enjoyed her company at the “Truck Stop.”

Evelyn is survived by many nieces and nephews and her many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles; siblings Jeanette, Edith, Dorothy and Richard and their spouses.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov, 19, 2021, at St. John XXIII Catholic Parish, St. Peter of Alcantara Church, in Port Washington. Visitation will be at the church from 4 p.m. until the service. 

Evelyn will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
