Emptying bowls to put food on the table

Family Sharing’s Empty Bowls Luncheon drew a hungry crowd to Grafton High School on Friday, Oct. 28, for a good cause. The annual event, which features soup from area restaurants, raises money for the Family Sharing Food Pantry. Among those sampling the fare was Darlene Emmer, who was served by Jo Kowalski (top left). Amalliya Lenz and Elaine Meyer balanced eight small bowls of soup on their trays (middle) while Grafton High culinary students Kyleey Hayes and Gabriel Mietkowski pitched in to serve (top right). The Grafton School District was well represented at the event with employees Michael McMahon, Kate Nestler, Kara Cain, Topher Adams and Laura Stautz enjoying lunch (bottom left). Also among those serving soup was Jim Freel (bottom right). Photos by Sam Arendt
