Eghart House will open for season on May 25

    The Judge Eghart House, a restored Victorian house at 302 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington, will open for the season on Saturday, May 25.   
    “Everything Old is New Again” is the featured exhibit this year, showcasing the ways trends are cyclical and reach to the past for inspiration.
    The exhibit features popular current movements such as farm to table and locavore, facial hair fashions and home schooling.
    The Eghart House will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend with volunteer guides conducting tours.
    The fee is $3 for adults and $1 for children.
    Group tours may be arranged by calling Gina Taucher at 284-2875.
    The house is furnished with antiques donated by Port Washington and area families.
