Egg hunt, bonnet contest Saturday

The annual Hippity Hoppity Easter egg hunt and bonnet contest will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 1, in  Port Washington’s Upper Lake Park.

Check in starts at 9:45 a.m.

The event will begin with a sing-along and follow with the egg hunt for children ages 2 to 9 at 10:15 a.m.

Youngsters may get their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.

There will also be a golden egg hunt, live music and a story walk sponsored by the Niederkorn Library.

The bonnet contest will be held at 10:45 a.m. with five age categories and a pet division.

Following the event, youngsters are invited to visit downtown businesses from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to collect holiday treats.

The event is sponsored by the Port Washington Parks and Recreation Department, Port Main Street Inc. and the Port Washington Kiwanis Club.
