Edward Klumb

    Edward W. Klumb, 73, of Port Washington, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, Oct. 3, 2020, at his home.
    He was born on March 21, 1947, the son of Warren and Margaret (Jentges) Klumb.
    He graduated from Port Washington High School and joined the U.S. Army Reserves for six years.
    On Oct. 25, 1969, he married the love of his life, Betty Brabender, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Random Lake.
    Edward worked for Port Publications in Port Washington for 35 years as an offset pressman, retiring in 2009.
    Eddie had a big heart and infectious laugh. He lived for God and loved his family fiercely. He had a variety of interests including home remodeling projects, Las Vegas vacations with his wife, fishing, hunting and just spending time with his family and grandchildren. He had a passion for making his grandchildren laugh.
    He is survived by his loving wife of almost 51 years, Betty; son Brian (Mandy) Klumb of Franklin; daughter Laurie (Brandon) Bates of Port Washington; seven grandchildren, Evan, Audrey and Leah Klumb and Libby, Ava, Sophie and Ella Bates; sisters Shirley (Bruce) Kozelou and Alice Brock; brothers Steve (Judy) Klumb, Daniel (Lori) Klumb and Donald (Kate) Klumb;  mother-in-law Violet Brabender; and sisters-in-law Kay Becker, Sally (Richard) Hammen and Nancy (Ron) Behlendorf. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceeded in death by his parents Warren and Margaret Klumb, father-in-law Vernon Brabender, brothers-in-law Michael Becker and Donald Brock and nephew Keith Becker.
    The Klumb family will receive visitors at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, WI 53074 on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  
    Following the visitation on Saturday, there will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. at St. John XXIII, St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church, 1800 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will preside.
    Edward will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
