Earl L. Flom

PAID OBITUARY
Earl L. Flom, 84, of Fredonia, found peace on Friday, April 27, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Earl was born on Jan. 25, 1934, in Iron Mountain, Mich., to the late Oscar and Thelma (nee Jones) Flom.
On Aug. 6, 1960, he was united in marriage to Ida M. Jandrt at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boyd, Wis.
Earl honorably served in the Army overseas in France from 1955 to 1958. He was a champion gardener and an avid hunter, fisherman and camper. He looked forward to family reunions with his brothers and sisters. He enjoyed playing sheepshead, completing jigsaw puzzles and casual road trips to sightsee and visit national parks.
Those Earl leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 57 years, Ida; children Patrick (Cathy) Flom of Loves Park, Ill., Kurt (Gail) Flom of Random Lake, LuAnn Seefeldt of Menomonee Falls, Thomas Flom of Fredonia and Leslie (Dennis) Backhaus of Fond du Lac; grandchildren Ashley Flom of Chicago, Nathan Flom of Jacksonville, Fla., Trish Troedel of Fond du Lac, Tyler Flom of Random Lake, Shawn (Lerin) Flom of Madison, Nicole (Michael) Troedel Broome of Riverview, Fla., Bryar Flom of Hampton, Va., and Lacey (Joshua) Goodman of Hampton, Va.
He is further survived by his sister Doris (Lloyd) Cota of Green Bay; brother Aaron (Rita) Flom of Oak Creek; sister-in-law Marlene Flom of Green Bay, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his sister Eleanor Rutger and brothers Norman Flom, Robert Flom and John Flom.
Memorial services for Earl will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 215 Forest Ave, Kewaskum, with Dan Schroeder officiating.
Earl’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service.
Earl’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for the care they provided.
Myrhum Patten Miller and Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Earl’s arrangements.
