Douglas G. “Doug” Joyce

Douglas G. “Doug” Joyce left this world peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Aug. 2, 2026, at the age of 67.

Born on Sept. 3, 1958, Doug was a true son of Wisconsin raised by his devoted parents James and Rita Joyce.

Doug captured the hearts of everyone who knew him with his passion for the great outdoors and his adventurous spirit. He cherished moments spent camping and exploring the wonders of national parks, soaking in all that nature had to offer. A proud fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, Doug’s enthusiasm was unmatched, especially when it came to celebrating the Fourth of July with the firework show in Friess Lake, where he lived for 25 wonderful years before settling in Grafton.

Professionally, Doug left his mark as a skilled machinist and forklift driver, lending his talents at Briggs, Pace Industries and other local establishments.

Doug is survived by his loving siblings Paul (Barb) Joyce, Mary (Jeff) Fidlin, Patrick Joyce, Janet (Robert) Traynor and James Joyce, along with many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members who will carry his memory in their hearts.

He is now reunited with his parents James and Rita Joyce, watching over us all with that familiar twinkle in his eye.

A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton on Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. To honor Doug, wear casual clothing or your Brewers, state park or national park merch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
