Dorothy O’Neill Hoff

Dorothy Jean O’Neill Hoff (Dottie) went home to Jesus and her husband Hugh Hoff on June 9, 2020, at the age of 92 at Ellen’s Home in Port Washington.
Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., she attended Carroll College in Waukesha, Wis., and met her husband of 64 years on a blind date.
She was a piano teacher, an English teacher, a counselor, an engaged listener and a lover of people and Jesus.
If she ever offended anyone by her straight talking, forgive her; she couldn’t help it.
She is survived by her children Jennifer Mattson (Vince Schmuki) of Saukville, Sarah Hall of Port Washington, Jim Hoff (Holly) of Wasilla, Ala., and Libby Briscoe (Pete) of Utah, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, adopted-into-her-heart children, nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.
