Donna Y. Peters

Donna Y. Peters (nee Berg) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on the morning of Friday, Jan. 6, at UW Hospital in Madison. She was 78 years old.

Donna was born in Milwaukee on April 11, 1944, to Arthur Sr. and Pearl Berg (nee Zahn).

Donna married James Peters in Waukegan, Ill., on July 1, 1972. After years devoted to the care of her seven children, she had a long career in management at Kleen Test Products in Port Washington, Wis.

Donna loved to cook, bake and host family gatherings. She enjoyed music, dancing and watching mysteries.

She valued common sense and was known for her good advice often delivered with a sassy comment.

She also loved taking road trips or spending a quiet day outside with her husband Jim.

Donna is survived by her children Fred Nagle, Tammy (Paul) Michelfelder, Lori Nagle, Jennifer Nagle, Michael Peters, Lisa (Ilya) Rosson and Mandy (Ed Hanson) Peters.

She is further survived by four grandchildren, Gabrielle Nagle, Alex Michelfelder, Jacob Nagle and Miles Rosson; sister Ardelle (Stuart) Thurow; and sister-in-law Karen (Gene) Lemke. Donna is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, James Peters, her beloved parents, her brother Arthur Berg Jr., her sister Marlyn Jacak (nee Berg), her brother Ronald Berg and granddaughter Danielle Nagle.

A funeral service will be held at noon Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023, at Mueller Funeral Home, 979 N. Green Bay Rd. in Grafton, Wis. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon.

Donna will be laid to rest next to her loving husband at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grafton.
