Donald Simonis

 

Donald P. Simonis, 73, died in his Port Washington home on Monday, May 14.  

Mr. Simonis was born in Milwaukee on Oct. 14, 1944, to Karl Sr. and Diane Gull Simonis.

During his early years, he would go fishing around Wisconsin, and throughout his life he had a passion for classic cars and NASCAR racing.

As a sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Badgers, his family said.  

Mr. Simonis was a foreman at Briggs & Stratton for more than 22 years.  

According to his family, he moved to Port Washington to be closer to his family after overcoming many obstacles in his life.  

Mr. Simonis is survived by his sons Karl (Lynn) of Port Washington, Kirk (Kandace) of Milwaukee and Chad, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Karl Jr.

Inurnment will be at Union Cemetery in Port Washington.

Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is handling the arrangements.
