Division leader deals detrimental defeat to Saukville Saints

The Kewaskum A’s built an 11-0 lead through three innings, then piled on eight runs in the sixth inning in a 19-2 home thrashing of the Saukville Saints on Sunday.

The Saints weren’t without a highlight, however. Alex Enteny belted a home run in the sixth inning.

The A’s took a 3-0 lead in the first inning on a walk, hit batter, error and a single by Jelen Gellings.

Five hits in the second inning plated five runs, with the key hits being a two-run double by Gellings and a two-run single by Harry Steldt.

Mike Sherrick pitched two scoreless innings for the Saints, allowing two hits and hitting a batter. Aaron Brockman and Brenden Zimdars both struggled on the mound.

Jason Hoida went six innings and got the win for the A’s.

The Saints host a double header Sunday at Dickmann Field against the Hustisford Hawks. The first game starts at noon.
