Discovering the county’s natural treasures

Saturday was the 10th annual Treasures of Oz, a tour of six of Ozaukee County’s natural areas that sometimes go unnoticed. This year’s event also showcased the ARTservancy project, an initiative between Gallery 224 in Port Washington and the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust. Photographer Michael Bunton practiced his craft at Birchwood Hills Nature Preserve in Port Washington (left photo). Derek Strohl took the opportunity to pick invasive garlic mustard at Birchwood Hills (top photo).
