Diane S. Doers

Mrs. Diane Doers of Port Washington passed away at Belgium Gardens on Friday, Nov. 29, 2019, at the age of 85.  

Diane was born in Port Washington on May 20, 1934, the daughter of Theodore Schachel and Marie Behrendt Schachel.

She attended local schools and graduated from Port Washington High School with the Class of 1952.  

On June 13, 1953, she was united in marriage with Allan Doers. The couple settled in Port Washington to raise their family.  

Mrs. Doers was an avid Milwaukee Admirals fan and Milwaukee Brewers fan and also enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children, Glenn (Chris) Doers of Port Washington, Karina (Greg) Evenson of Cedar Grove and Bruce (Janice) Doers of Port Washington.  

She is further survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother Keith (Connie) Schachel of Pomona, Mo.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Allan.

Funeral services were celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at noon at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington.  

The Rev. Linda Westphal-Buth presided over the service. Mrs. Doers will be laid to rest next to her husband at Union Cemetery in Port Washington.  

Visitation was at the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 10 a.m. until the service.
