David Curtiss Cooper

David Curtiss Cooper passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 21, 2024, in Grafton, Wis., at the age of 72.

He was born to Homer and Loretta “Sue” Cooper in St. Louis, Mo., in 1952.

He was married to Linda (Jurgena) Cooper in Spanish Lake, Mo., in 1973.

Prior to his retirement, David was a loyal and hard-working computer programmer.

In his spare time, he was an excellent musician with an affinity for many instruments, with his most-loved instrument being the guitar. He enjoyed playing his guitars for others, including playing with many bands over the years.

David was known as a dog lover, never passing up an opportunity to pet and give a treat to any dog he saw. He was an avid fisherman, spending many days and nights fishing with family, friends and his best fishing dog Chevy. He was also a world traveler, living in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, for a time.

David is survived by his wife Linda; his three children, Pamela (Dan), Matt (Katie) and Paul (Sage); his three grandchildren, Chris, Emaline and Brady; and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Jan (Vic) of Chesterfield, Mo., two nephews, Bryan (Chrissy) and Kyle (Stephanie), and their children.

A visitation is planned for Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg, WI 53012.
