Daniel DeBack

PAID OBITUARY

Daniel G. DeBack, age 48, of Port Washington, found peace on Friday, June 8, 2018, after a valiant battle with cancer.

He was born to Daniel and Elizabeth (nee Magray) in February 1970.

Daniel started working with wood when he was in his teens, and over the years he grew into the talented craftsman cabinetmaker he is today, working for 30-plus years at the Streff Shop in Port Washington.

He was known for his exactness and precision, always measuring twice and cutting once.

Organization was another of his character traits.

He often got up hours before work and planned either his day or that of his father with a list of things to do and the order in which they were to be done.

Hunting and fishing were always a No. 1 priority in his life.

He is survived by his loving parents, sisters and brother-in-law Dawn (Rick) Riemert and Julie DeSmith, other relatives and many, many friends.

A memorial celebration of Daniel’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 15, at the funeral home.

Visitation will be from noon until the service.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you for the loving care and support received by Daniel from the Aurora Cancer Clinic in Grafton, Dr. Maul, Dawn and all of the other caregivers.
