Dancin’ to state

The Port Washington High School dance team qualified for state competition in two events at the Wisconsin Association of Cheer/Pom Coaches Dance Championships Regional in Kaukauna last Saturday. The Pirates won the Division 2 jazz competition over Seymour and Notre Dame Academy and took second to Freedom in Division 3 pom. The team includes (above, from left) coach Hanna Maechtle, Ava Mrozek, Rachel Krueger, Tori Pokey, Lizzi Princeton, Sydney Rychtik, Isabel Torcivia, Brielle Bertler, Alyssa Hovey, Lexi Princeton, Olivia Differt, Lilly Milbeck, Ella Gilhooly and coach Becka Rindt. Grafton took second to New London in Division 2 hip hop to advance to state. The state meet will be held online on April 25.
