Dale D. Bossler

Dale D. Bossler, formerly of Oostburg, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. He was 69 years old.

  Dale was born June 21, 1953, in Port Washington, the son of Edward and Elaine (Brandt) Bossler. He attended Port Washington High School.

  On March 9, 1974, he was united in marriage with Patty Gavin. The two were married 47 years.

  For 19 years, Dale worked at Exacto Springs in Grafton. He later worked for many years doing lawn care.

  Dale was a 20-plus year member of the Oostburg Fire Department, serving for many years with both his sons.

The biggest joy in his life was being with family. He cherished time shared with them fishing, camping, golfing, riding motorcycles, hunting, snowmobiling, boating and creating memories at cookouts.

  Dale is survived by his children David (Dawn) Bossler of Oostburg, Dwayne (Amber) Bossler of Waldo and Bridgett (Matt) Born of Oostburg; grandchildren Danielle (Josh) Hogan, Jessica Weber, Darcy Bossler, Desiree (Tannor) Gonzalez, Aidan Bossler, Tasmyn Born, Magnum Born and Ethan Bossler; former wife Patty Bossler of Oostburg; siblings Dennis (Sharon) Bossler, Barbara Marcel and Bonnie (Gordy) Esselman; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

  A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2023, at Wenig Funeral Home, 108 Center Ave. in Oostburg. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in his name.
