A Saukville couple’s dispute over prescription medication led to a 24-year-old man’s arrest, according to the police department.

Officers responded to a call at the 200 block of East Dekora Street at 1:31 a.m. on  Sunday, May 20, for a report of a domestic disturbance. When the officers arrived, they met a 24-year-old Saukville woman and her 27-year-old live-in boyfriend.

Police saw a garbage can had been knocked over and a picture on the floor that was previously hanging on a wall.

The man told officers the argument began because he believed his girlfriend took his prescription medication, and he looped his arm around her neck to prevent her from leaving, according to police

The woman said the man punched her in the left arm, and officers saw dark-red marks on her chest as well as both arms.

According to the police report, the man had scratches on his arm and chest because the woman said she fought back when the man wrapped his arm around her neck.

The man was arrested for disorderly conduct-domestic violence and taken to the Ozaukee County jail.

Charges are being requested through the Ozaukee County District Attorney’s Office against the man.

Police were dispatched to the Tri-Par Qwik Stop at 10:57 p.m. on Friday, June 1, for a report of a drunk male with a history of mental illness.

According to the report, officers located the man walking on West Dekora Street, and he was identified as a 27-year-old from Alabama who was visiting Saukville for a family wedding.

When police searched him, they found a blunt that later tested positive for marijuana. He told officers he got it from teenagers.

He was arrested and taken to Ozaukee County jail. Charges for possession of marijuana are being requested through the Ozaukee County District’s Attorney’s office.
