County seeks member for health committee

An Ozaukee County resident is being sought to serve on the Health and Human Service Committee. 

Applicants must receive or have a family member who receives human services from Ozaukee County to qualify. Preference will be given to low and moderate-income residents.

The Health and Human Service Committee has nine members consisting of five county supervisors and four non-elected Ozaukee County residents. 

The committee normally meets monthly at 9 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Meetings last about one hour. Remote attendance is available.

The committee recommends program priorities and policies to the County Board, identifies unmet service needs and prepares short and long-term plans and budgets in conformance with appropriate state statutes, county policies and budgets.

Deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Friday, April 2. The County Board is expected to make an appointment from among the applicants at its meeting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 7.
