Color Blast in memory of late teacher

Students participated in a charitable Color Blast run/walk on Grafton High School’s track Monday to raise money for the district. The event was sponsored by Port Washington State Bank’s Grafton branch in memory of Grafton Elementary School teacher Jill Ruland, who died in a car crash last November. Students, teachers and parents (above) took a one-mile stroll around the track. Some youngsters (top) played with blue crepe paper at one of the stations. As participants passed through the final leg of the event (right), volunteers threw packets of powdered colors into the air and onto the walkers. Photos by Sam Arendt
