A holly jolly start to Port’s holiday season
Port Washington welcomed the holiday season Saturday with its annual Christmas on the Corner event, which drew a crowd to downtown not just to buy presents but to participate in activities that ranged from cookie decorating and writing letters to Santa to roasting marshmallows and visiting with reindeer. Ryder Lanser, 9, won the city’s coloring contest and earned the opportunity to turn on the lights on the Christmas tree at the foot of St. Mary’s Hill. Photos by Sam Arendt
