Charter school gets grant

Rocket Academy, Cedar Grove-Belgium School District’s charter school focusing on manufacturing and the trades, has received a $25,000 grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. for fabrication lab facilities.

WEDC’s Fab Labs Grant Program supports hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering, art and math.

Rocket Academy is slated to open in fall to juniors and seniors at the high school. The academy’s Governance Board is seeking one or more long-term sites not at the school.
