Chamber to honor annual award winners on May 14

The Saukville Chamber of Commerce has announced its slate of 2019 award winners.

The recipients are:

• Individual of the Year — Tim Lorge, president of Charter Steel.

“Tim Lorge has led Charter Steel to many great partnerships throughout the community, especially with the Saukville-Port Washington School District, creating a great out-of-the-classroom learning experience for students that will serve as a great basis as they start their careers,” said Chamber Executive Director Mike Cosgrove.

• Business of the Year — Aurora Healthcare, which Cosgrove called “a fixture in our community providing immense support for a number of organizations and events in our area.”

• Organization of the Year — Saukville Community Food Pantry.

• Government Achievement Award – Joe Caban, former village trustee, who retired from the Village Board this month after 10 years to pursue certification as an emergency medical technician.

• Government Service Award — Barb Dickmann, who was elected to her ninth term as village president earlier this month.

“Barb Dickmann has overseen tremendous growth in the Village of Saukville, creating a welcoming and thriving community for residents and business alike,” Cosgrove said.

Recipients will be recognized at the annual awards dinner on Tuesday, May 14, at Messina’s restaurant in Saukville.

A social hour begins at 5:15 p.m. with the dinner following.

Cost is $30 per person.
