Cathy A. McPherson

 

Cathy McPherson of Birnamwood, formerly of Saukville, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, at her residence. She was 72 years old.  

Cathy was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 12, 1948, the daughter of Paul Gerard and Evelyn Knepler Gerard.  

She grew up in West Allis and graduated from Juneau High School with the Class of 1966.  

She enjoyed playing softball and figure skating.  

On April 29, 1967, she married Charles “Chuck” McPherson in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in 2012.  

She enjoyed trips to casinos, playing bingo, playing cards with friends and watching “Wheel of Fortune,” “Jeopardy” and the Hallmark Channel.  

Family was very important to Cathy. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  You could often find her on the sidelines of her grandchildren’s sporting events.  

Cathy is survived by her three children, Charles “Moochie” McPherson of West Bend, Cherie (Jay) Neitzer of Birnamwood and her birth daughter Sue (Mark) Pink-Schroeder of Lake Havasu, Ariz.  

She is further survived by nine grandchildren, Nathan (Autumn) Hilton, Allison (Marcus) Lackovic, Ashley (Tony) Werner, Mikayla Hilton, Robert and Jaymie Neitzer, Danielle Otto, Rachel (Chandler) Tindall and Michael Rabinek; seven great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Oliver, Elliot, Jaiden, Jaxon, Colin and Mason; siblings Jack (Cyndy) Gerard and Debbie (Rich) Czerwinski; mother-in-law Janet (the late Al) Gerard; brothers and sisters-in-law Shari (the late Rodney) McPherson, Linda (Don) Hollingsworth, April (the late Jim) Hunt, Kitty (Mike) Couch, Bambi (Paul) Helms and Randy (Louise Carter) McPherson;  nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Evelyn; her husband Chuck; and siblings Paul Gerard, Sandra Novara and Bob Gerard.  

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, followed by a private funeral service.  Pastor Linda Westphal-Buth will preside over the service.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested.
